Dr. Kandra takes the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.
Meet Our Saco Optometrist:
Dr. Juliann Kandra brings 20 years of diverse experience to Family Eye Care. She has worked in private practice, health maintenance organizations, and community practice settings. She believes that with the evolution of medicine patients have to be their own advocate and is therefore committed to educating her patients about all aspects of eye health. She treats patients as if they were family and is dedicated to providing excellent service.
Dr. Kandra graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She received her doctorate degree from University of Houston College of Optometry. She is a member of several honor societies. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Maine Optometric Association.
Dr Kandra is an artist and her art is on display in the office. Her favorite styles to paint are abstract and animal realism. When not painting you can find her playing the drums, dancing, studying Spanish, and enjoying time with her husband and 3 bengal cats.
Family Eye Care will be closed most weekdays from noon to 1 for lunch.
