Dr. Juliann Kandra brings 20 years of diverse experience to Family Eye Care. She has worked in private practice, health maintenance organizations, and community practice settings. She believes that with the evolution of medicine patients have to be their own advocate and is therefore committed to educating her patients about all aspects of eye health. She treats patients as if they were family and is dedicated to providing excellent service.
Dr. Kandra graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She received her doctorate degree from University of Houston College of Optometry. She is a member of several honor societies. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Maine Optometric Association.
Dr Kandra is an artist and paints wildlife, pet portraits, and abstract art. When not painting, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, and dancing. She is a cat mom to her two bengals, Kalani and Kona.
Family Eye Care will be closed most weekdays from noon to 1 for lunch.
